Laura MacArthur Family Eagle Update
Family Newsletter - March 28, 2020
IMPORTANT UPDATES LAURA MACARTHUR FAMILIES,
It has been 8 days since we have had our students in our building and we continue to miss them each day. We have shared a few read alouds on Facebook in attempts to bring our staff into your homes. The hope is that we can support the physical distancing and yet remain socially connected.
Taking care of students' physical and emotional well-being is of the utmost importance to Laura MacArthur staff. We recognize that the school closing has increased everyone's stress levels and anxiety while we learn about our new normal.
Our staff want you to know that we will continue do our best to support our students and families during the school closure period. This week we are going to be moving into a new phase called Distance learning. Distant Learning activities will help establish a daily schedule and a sense of normalcy for students, along with continuing their education. We commit to ensuring each and every child in our school system has access to the opportunity and support they need to learn essential content and skills while at home.
You probably have heard or have seen some of this information from All Calls, Infinite Campus Messaging, Emails, Texts, and Social Media, however I thought I would send this in the event that you have not been informed. Teachers will be making contact with your child throughout this week.
I am in the building everyday and would be happy to answer your questions. You can contact me at 218-336-8900. I promise we will continue to work through the challenges that arise and make this better as we go. I appreciate your patience and feedback
Please take care and be safe!
