Dust Bowl
During the 1930s a lot of dust bowls and droughts happened. The dust bowl is also often referred to as the dirty thichies. A drought is an extended period of deficient rainfall relative to the statistical multi-year average for a region. But because of the varoius ways it is measured an objective drought definition has yet to be proceded upon which every one can agrre.
Layer of Soil and Contour Plowing
The first layer of soil is topsoil which is made up of a crumbly dark brown soil. The next layer of soil is subsoil and it contains clay and other particles wash down from topsoil. The third layer of soil is bedrock. Contour plowing is a method where farmers put curves along a slop so water will runoff.
