Join the fun and experience coding “first-hand” as you create computer code using games and puzzles. You will be ready to take coding to your classroom to promote creativity, higher order thinking, and student engagement. Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science before they graduate from high school.

Professional Learning Networks (PLN)
You do not have to wait for the next out-of-town workshop or conference to learn the most current best practices! Learn to connect with other educational experts around the world without ever leaving your classroom. In this session you will learn how to create your own global Professional Learning Network (PLN) through the use of Twitter. You will also learn how to personalize your own learning, locate outstanding resources, and collaborate with others to stay current on educational best practices. This session is for beginners to Twitter experts.

Edcamp Style
Edcamp is unlike any professional development you have ever experienced. This participant driven professional development opportunity has no pre-set agenda. Instead of one person standing in front of the room talking for forty minutes, you will be encouraged to share your technology successes and learn from your colleagues’ experiences. This session is designed with the expectation that everyone in the room will work collaboratively to increase their understanding of available instructional technology by sharing knowledge and asking questions. Anyone at any technology comfort level is welcome to participate.

ED Talks: Power of Teaching
Teaching is powerful; the profession is noble. The daily work of teachers has the potential to change attitudes, change lives, and ultimately change the world. An extension of the mission of educators is to affect the lives of students. In this session, educators from a cross-section of disciplines will amplify the voices of teachers by sharing stories that are purely personal yet common to the experiences of educators. Ed Talks will serve as a reminder of why this profession was chosen. Come listen to stories worth spreading.
