Shout Out To...
Tammy Bacalis for working with everyone to get progress reports out this week.
Amy Grant for organizing all of our military friends on Wednesday. Everyone benefitted from having them at Shelton Park!
All of the staff, husbands, and family members that helped with our take down, move, and set up. It means the world to us to know that we have such a great family here that will pitch in whenever and wherever! Our kiddos are adjusting to the new room and having tons of fun. (Diona Ortiz and Alexis Forgey)
Heather Stadler - A HUGE THANK YOU to you and your family for keeping an eye on our flooded SUV during the storm. Not only did your husband bike ride to our house to let us know the water had receded, your dad was so helpful in jumping the vehicle so we could put it in neutral and push it to the side of the road. Thank you so much for your help (and WHO KNEW we lived so close to each other)!! (Liz Cipolla)
The awesome ladies in the cafeteria and all of the teachers who adjusted lunch times on Tuesday.
Carly Hathaway, Jill Robinson, Kristin Sheely, and Nicole Bevis for coming out Saturday for the SAPLINGS program. I couldn’t have done it without you! (Jennifer Hodges)
Susanne Fay, Kristy Rowe, Liz Cipolla, and Deenie Lane for helping me pack and move! Mrs. Keller for your help with a family on Saturday morning. I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t been there. (Jennifer Hodges)
EVERYONE who has helped with the move of our kindergarten and first grade friends!

A few things you may need to know...
Start making up your make up time now! Please make sure to log in any make up time on your WISE time sheet. See Cheri or Arden with any questions!
OPEN ENROLLMENT - You must go to the open enrollment site to sign up before the window closes on November 4th. Please know that even if you DO NOT want to sign up you must select that you decline coverage. This has to be done for each of the 8 categories.
Please treat our copy machines and printers with love. Sometimes even our best intentions can do more harm than good.
Teachers, soon you may be receiving money for the PTA Trunk or Treat. Please make sure the money is attached to the forms. The PTA expressed a concern about money being separated from forms.
The PTA is beginning their big membership drive this month. Please encourage PTA memberships. The PTA currently has more memberships this year than they had total all last year! I would love to see the PTA reach 100% PTA membership. OINK! OINK!
A new master schedule was emailed out today and will be placed in the electronic handbook. Please make sure to review so you are aware of any changes.
The first quarter assessment window will be opening on October 31st. The schedule for testing was posted last week. Please adhere to the schedule. Two tests should not be given in one day. As best you can, please try to utilize the largest block in your day that will be best for your students. ALL tests should be read by students. Communication is key between teachers on grade levels to have a successful testing window.
Bus Safety Week is next week (October 17 - 23). Your students would love making a card or writing a letter for their bus driver!
