First Community Circle! Friday: 8:30-9:00

In the EL Education model, the tradition of CREW is both a culture and a structure. The term "crew" comes from educator Kurt Hahn, founder of Outward Bound. Hahn's quote, "We are crew, not passengers, strengthened by acts of consequential service to others" inspired EL Educations motto, "We are CREW." The culture of crew impels all members of a school community to work together as a team, to pitch in, to help others. We believe individual success is not enough, crew represents both staff and students to help each other to get up the mountain together. The structure of crew is built in daily morning meetings and community circles. This is a place we gather as a crew and important concepts of crew are taught and students have opportunities to focus on their character development. Community circle is a school-wide structure where students learn about the 10 Design Principlesand are empowered to understand and connect to them. This month's Design Principle is Empathy and Caring. I hope you can all join us for our first Community Circle!

Spread the Word...

Not to Late to Enroll

We have openings in Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 8th grade. If you have friends looking at their options for schooling this year, spread the word. Let them know how much you love our school and this might be a great time to get in when at any other normal start of the school year there is almost, always a waitlist. This is a great time to join our crew.

You can share this link to get them started... https://palouseprairieschool.org/enrollment/

Update on the Playground

Next up, amphitheater! The ground is set and soon stone steps will be going in for three rows of seats. This will not only create a great outdoor space for playtime, but it can also be used as an outdoor classroom; class performances, and much more!

We have not yet reached our goal! We need to raise enough funds to be able to add a ball court and swings. Please, spread the word to neighbors, friends, family. Every little donation counts. You can find the link below.

Moscow Co-op Dime in Time

The Co-op has selected PPCS as one of their recipients to receive donations for our playground! Now through the end of November, for each reusable bag shoppers bring in, they will be able to donate their dime to Palouse Prairie Charter School, so spread the word to your friends and family. (Please note, cashiers have a lot to remember and sometimes forget to ask, so customers should feel free to remind them where to donate their dime!).
Every Dollar Counts!
