Bingo Night was a big success last Thursday evening! The turnout was terrific and fun was had by all who attended. Special THANKS to the DuJardin PTO for sponsoring this annual event! THANKS to our parent volunteers who made the night so much fun, Mrs. Hunn, Mrs. Kress, Mrs. Cozzo, Mrs. Dworianyn, Mrs. Korbel, Mrs. Graham, Mrs. Mitropoulos, and Mr. Hilgart to name a few, and to our Caller, Mrs. Schmuldt and her assistant, Mrs. Fonk and to Mrs. Harsila for announcing all of the raffle winners! Also, a big THANKS to the teams of DuJardin teachers that put together some awesome raffles baskets! There were some very happy raffle winners at Bingo Night!
The week of February 3rd students in grades 1-4 will take the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test. The OLSAT is designed to measure abstract thinking and reasoning ability. Students in grades 1-2 will take three assessments in verbal and nonverbal modalities while students in grades 3-4 will take one assessment covering both areas. Verbal and nonverbal scores in addition to the total score, provide a more complete picture of students’ abilities. OLSAT results will be shared with parents during the 3rd trimester.
DuJardin School has been selected to participate in the 2019-2020 National Assessment of Educational Progress, also known as NAEP. It is the largest continuing and nationally representative assessment of what students across the country know and can do in a variety of subjects. Some of our nine-year-olds have been selected to take assessments in math, or reading. The parents of those students selected have been notified by mail and with a letter sent home with their child. This NAEP Assessment is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11th at 9:30 a.m.
2019-2020 Illinois Parent Survey
Dear Parent, The Illinois State Board of Education invites you to participate in a school improvement survey for parents. In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback about DuJardin School. Please consider your child’s current experience at school (i.e., 2019-2020 school year). This survey is designed to help school and district leadership improve their understanding of the parent/school relationship.
All responses are completely anonymous. Responses to anonymous surveys cannot be traced back to the respondent. Additionally, your responses will be combined with other parents from DuJardin School and summarized in a school report to further protect your anonymity. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and you have the right to discontinue participation at any point.
If you have more than one (1) child, you may elect to participate multiple times.
The 5Essentials Parent Survey is now open. Parents are encouraged to complete this survey. Please use the following link to access the parent survey: http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/
