Principal's Prose
Greetings Lions,
Welcome back team! In keeping with our theme of "Rocktober", I was reminded of the song "The Heat is On" this weekend, as it certainly was a scorcher! Can you believe almost 90 degrees in October? Two things are for certain about our Texas weather, all things are possible and if you want to see it change just wait five minutes!
I hope that despite the unseasonal heat, you are keeping your "cool" as we press forward in this important and pivotal month of the school year. As you pick up the pace with instruction, intervention, progress monitoring and adjusting to data each, day becomes a potential turning point in the education we seek to provide for our students. Everyday presents the platform for change, and a breakthrough is usually a few intentional and strategic steps away.
From what can be seen and heard in the classrooms, hallways and conversations about students, Sudie is positioned perfectly to achieve our goals. As we prepare to welcome parents this week for conferences, please be clear in expressing not only where our students now stand, but also where we expect them to be as they progress. I encourage each of you to be creative and strategic in your approach to these crucial conversations, as our parent partners play an important role in the plans we have for their children. As always, teamwork makes the dream work!
Remember, each day is a GIFT, that's why we call it the PRESENT! Stay cool, keep smiling and be an encourager this short week, as there is no time like now!
We are One!
MJ
