Please consider filling out an Application for Educational Benefits. While meals are free for all families this school year, the information from these forms has a DIRECT impact on school funding. What this means is that with fewer people completing the form, the school will actually receive less funding in the coming years. This could result in cuts to programs offered to students, teachers unable to qualify for grants, staffing reductions, or the district having to make other difficult budget decisions. Please complete the form by October 15th.
Application Form
WITH AN APPROVED APPLICATION...
1. Your family may qualify to receive benefits through the Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) program. This program gives hundreds of dollars to qualifying families (on an ebt card) to spend at the grocery store!
2. Your family may qualify for reduced/waived school fees, such as Tech Fee, Field Trip Fees, and others.
3. Your student(s) may qualify for free or reduced tuition at some post-secondary schools
4. Approved applications help the school qualify for education funds and discounts.
5. Families with approved applications receive reduced admissions to the Science Museum, MN Children's Museum and numerous MN Historical Society Exhibits across the entire state of Minnesota.
6. Teachers can qualify for special funds/grants to use in their classrooms
7. Title I and special event nights like Family Reading Night can continue.

A NOTE FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE

If your child is ill, PLEASE keep them home and monitor their symptoms. We have been seeing an uptick in COVID cases, symptoms have ranged from a runny nose, headache, cold-like symptoms to absolutely nothing.

If your child tests positive, please let us know. It is very important to quarantine and stop the spread. I highly encourage all High School parents to order a vault test and test your student. If no symptoms, students do not need to stay home pending test results.

Did you know you can order free saliva tests at home? Click on the link below to order a PCR saliva test, it will be sent directly to your home, and you will complete it over a zoom call. Make sure you haven't eaten or drank 30 minutes prior to completing the test. We have two UPS drop-off sites in Mora. One is located in the Oak Gallery & Frame Shop on Union Street, and the other is a UPS drop box on Forrest Ave across the street (north) of the vacant lot kitty corner from the Federated Co-ops gas station. These are available for students and adults.

In addition to free COVID-19 testing at the state's 11 testing sites and test-at-home program, you can find other testing options through local providers, pharmacies, and clinics on the Find Your Test map below.
