Martin Luther

A Sinner and A Saint

Martin Luther

In 1517, Martin Luther challenged the authority of the Roman Catholic church. To do this, Luther wrote something called the 95 theses, which explains his views on the Roman Catholic church and the indulgences they sell. People then chose the side they were going to stand for, and sparked a revolution and in Europe which ended any unity that the Christians had in Western Europe. This resulted in the Protestant Reformation which changed the course of Western civilization.
