Linking Generations ~ Volunteer Grandparent Program
Dear Parents,
LINKING GENERATIONS will pilot a new Volunteer Grandparent program at Ecole Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in September 2018!!!
In readiness for this exciting program, Linking Generations will begin recruiting Senior Volunteers in May and June, who wish to connect with our students in our school classrooms.
Senior volunteers will enjoy the chance to share skills, knowledge and experience, while providing a valuable community service. The Linking Generations Volunteer Grandparent Program will work in partnership with Elk Island Catholic School Board and local groups to develop, place, and support volunteers within the framework of the Grandparent Program.
If you or a Senior Family member is interested in volunteering, please email Debbie Sinclair; Executive Director; Linking Generations at linkgendebbie@telus.net or check out Linking Generations website at www.linkinggenerations.ca

Jump Rope for Heart ~ Success!!!
What a success!
The Heart and Stroke Foundation wants to
thank everyone for their generous donations.
Our goal was originally $500,
but we managed to raise over $1600!
The Jump Rope for Heart Event was a fun event,
and all the prizes will be delivered in 5-6 weeks.
Linking Generations ~ Summerwood ~ Family Visit!!!
As with each of our annual Family Meet and Greet events, our Linking Generations Students and Seniors get extremely excited about this evening visit.
It allows our senior and student participants an opportunity to introduce their” linked” student or senior to their family. This visit also allows all of us at Linking Generations to recognize how much each senior and student is an integral part of Linking Generation’s success. Each student and senior can invite one parent or family member to attend this visit with them.
The Family Meet and Greet evening event is similar to a regular Linking Generations visit as we have a structured activity to do together plus we ensure its fun for everyone!
