Greetings Falcon Families!
It was a great week at PES! I hope your children shared with you that as a school we met our BragBoard Goal. In celebration of this our students were surprised with IcePops that were delivered by Dinosaurs!
There are some important changes regarding arrival, please read on to see what will be changing as of Tuesday!
Friendly reminder that this is a 4-day weekend for your student. Students will be off on Friday, 10/06 and Monday 10/10. We will see you Tuesday.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.
Have a great week!

Holding Areas.
Holding Areas:
Beginning Tuesday, you will see a few changes to our arrival procedures. One of the biggest changes that you will see is that students arriving in the car rider line will be held inside the lobby and foyer until 7:10am at which time they will be dismissed to their classrooms.
Students that arrive at 7:05am and are wishing to eat breakfast, may go straight to the cafeteria.
Parents that would like to walk their child to their classroom may still do so. You will raptor in and wait with your child until 7:10am before proceeding to your child's classroom.
Parents that are wishing to attend the Book Fair, may proceed to the library at 7:05am once they have raptored in.
Bus riders will be held in the cafeteria as usual and will now be dismissed to their classrooms at 7:10am.
Students will line up in grade level order starting from left to right with Pre-K, Kinder, First, and Second in the foyer and Third, Fourth, and Fifth in the lobby.
We will be monitoring students and assisting them through this new process.
We are doing this in an effort to provide our teachers with a window of time prior to students entering their classrooms.
Changes to Breakfast
Currently we have students arriving after the tardy bell that proceed to get breakfast in the cafeteria. This is causing some students to arrive past 8am to their classroom. That is 30 minutes of lost instruction.
Another trend that we have noticed is students arrive on time, go to their classroom, and then proceed to go get breakfast causing them to come back to their classroom after 8am. Beginning Tuesday, once a student arrives to their classroom, they will not be allowed to leave to go get breakfast.
Clubs
All permission slips must be turned in by October 14th to your child's Homeroom Teacher.
