Colin O'Brady Overcame Severe Burns to Become a World Record Holder | NowThis
What's Your Everest???
Colin O'Brady's inspirational journey is one that we can take to heart this school year. Just like we encourage out student's to reach for their dreams and to not let any obstacle stand in their way, we as educators have to model perseverance in reaching our goals. So I ask, what's your "Everest"? Think about how you can reach the top of your mountain this school year. As you think about this, I encourage you to come add your "Everest" to the chalkboard in the PLC room. Let your professional/personal "Everest" be the driving force behind your educator growth mindset this school year.

Graffiti Walls
Graffiti walls are a simple, fun, and interactive way to get kids involved in their learning. All you need is a blank whiteboard or some sheets of butcher paper to get started. Kids can write, draw, and express themselves as they learn and review a variety of subjects. Here are some examples of graffiti walls for the classroom. What a great way to support making thinking visible all year long!
Back to School Thinking Routine- Four Corners
Teacher Toolkit: Four Corners (Elementary)
Check out the four corners thinking routine. This would be a great way to help students get to know each other. Pose a question, have them go to the corner that matches their thinking, have them discuss with others and explain why they went to that corner. Thanks Alicia for the idea of using this as a getting to know each other opportunity!
