BBJH Parent Volunteer Group

We are looking for parent volunteers to join our Parent Volunteer Group. This group is led by one of our parents and offers opportunities to help with staff luncheons and BBJH dances. If you are interested in receiving emails with volunteer opportunities, please submit your contact information at this link:

I would like to receive emails with volunteer opportunities

There are two ways you can volunteer:

1. By sending donations when we help with events

2. Helping out on campus when we help with events.

If this is something you would like to do, please register to be an MISD Volunteer.

Incoming 7th Graders Must Submit Shot Records

Incoming 7th grade students are required to meet the state's two immunization requirements, Tdap and Meningococcal (MCV4), along with their completed childhood immunizations prior to beginning school in August.

Shot records must be signed by the facility or a doctor. Parent portal records will not be accepted without a signature.

Shot records can be turned in to the front office at BBJH or emailed to our nurse, Kari Haynes, at

Any student without an updated shot record on file will not be permitted to attend class until official documentation is submitted to the school.

Dropping off or sending in these records early will help parents and students avoid having to wait in line to turn them in on the first day of school on August 11.

Car Rider Line Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Big picture

Car Rider Line Directions

BBJH has two lanes for drop-off and pick-up.

Morning Drop-Off

To keep the flow of traffic moving, students should begin exiting vehicles in the area with the median in the front of the building. Students in the inside lane may exit vehicles and enter the school. Students in the outside lane should exit vehicles, walk up to the crosswalk, and wait for staff to allow for crossing. Please DO NOT allow students to cross traffic to enter the building.

Afternoon Pick-Up

Parents should pull all the way forward to pick up students. Staff will allow students to load cars who are in the area with the median. Students are not allowed to walk down to load cars. Parents are not permitted to walk up to pick-up students.

BBJH Bell Schedule

Please see the bell schedule below. Our doors open at 6:15am to begin morning drop off. Students have the choice of eating breakfast in the cafeteria or going to the gym until released to first period at 7:05am. Students not in first period by 7:15am will be marked tardy.

We will begin options for morning tutorials the first full week of school. These should be pre-arranged with the teacher as students must have a pass to attend.
