Principal's Message
Dear Families and Students,
I would like to congratulate all of our Orcas on completing the last of our assessments, we will continue with make up testing, CAPE Industry Certification Exams and PLTW EOCs next week. We will also return to our normal Early Release Wednesdays for the remainder of the year.
We are pleased to announce that Orlando Science Schools was selected as a partner in "Lucky's Bags for Change" campaign. From May 26th, 2019 through August 17th, 2019 stop by the Orlando Lucky's Location (11750 East Colonial Drive Orlando, FL 32817) and bring your reusable bags. Each bag earns a donation to the OSHS media center.

From May 26th, 2019 through August 17th, 2019 stop by the Orlando Lucky's Location(11750 East Colonial Drive Orlando, FL 32817) and bring your reusable bags to make a change in your community.
Every time you bring a reusable bag to the Lucky's Orlando location store, you will receive a wooden dime for each one used. You will then have the opportunity to donate that dime to Orlando Science Schools. At the end of the quarter, Lucky's will double the amount raised!

OSHS 2019 testing schedule
ATTENTION OSHS Tech Campus FAMILIES:
Above you will find the 2018-2019 OSS High School Tech Campus Assessment Calendar, please keep these dates in mind when planning any upcoming appointments and vacations. On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, we will not hold our regular early release schedule. Instead, we will follow our standard release schedule to allow more time for testing.

8th Grade Graduation Details
Some general information about graduation:
Ceremony will run from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, 5/24/19
Hyatt regency OIA address: 9300 Jeff Fuqua Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32827
Parking: $4.00 Self-Parking/$7.00 Valet Parking.
Caps, gowns, and tassels must be worn upon arrival.
Open Seating for the Audience. Please do not bring more than 4 guests per student. No tickets required.
Technology Drive HS 8th Grade Graduation Early Departure
Hello 8th Grade Technology Drive HS Families,
Graduation for your students will take place on Friday, May 24th 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. We understand that this is typically a busy day for our 8th grade families as they prepare for graduation, so for May 24th only we will allow early departure from school. In order for ED to take place you must have the form completed below by 3PM Thursday May 23rd 2018. We will not be accepting any responses after this date. If a response is not submitted your student will be picked up during our regular dismissal time frame. Please keep in mind students must be picked up from the dismissal area beginning from 12:00PM-12:30PM. Please note by signing your student up you are agreeing to pick them up in the dismissal area between 12:00 and 12:30pm if you do not pick your student up at this time you will have to wait until dismissal. No 8th grade student will be permitted to leave through the front office on this day. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Foley at Jennifer.Foley@orlandoscience.org.

There are many wonderful online resources students can access now from any computer with their credentials. Hello OSS Families! Please remember that BOX TOPS are a wonderful FREE way to raise funds for our school. Each Box Top is worth $.10 and they really add up. Please make sure to continuously send these in so that I can mail them before their expiration dates. The monies received go to supporting our academic and sport teams, the PLTW (Project Lead the Way) along with many other OSS programs and classroom needs. Orcas interested in dressing down for their birthday MUST submit a "Dress Down Day" form (found below) to Ms. Rebel at least two business days prior to the requested dress down date.
