Our final 2019-20 Sunday School newsletter!

What. A. Year.

Our first year of Sunday School with a new group of Co-Superintendents, many new teachers, new students... and we are all well aware of how this Spring 2020 is turning out.

TEACHERS: There aren't enough Thank You's to be said!! Thank you all for your weekly devotion to your students and for the precious time that you've contributed all year. YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!!!

STUDENTS: I imagine we will see one another in the Fall -- keep the love of Sunday School in your souls and carry it through our time apart!!!

I am sure that good will come of our current situation. We live, we learn, we love, and we change for the better. May you all take this into your hearts and use the summertime to continue reflection on what is important, God's truth, and how we want reflect His word in our lives for the good of all humankind.

Be well and PEACE,

Mrs. Jennifer Robbins and Mrs. Jodi Facteau-St. Gelais

~~ Teachers: A message from Pastor Holly ~~

June 4, 2020

~ A message from Pastor Doug ~

Greetings to you all. I want to say thank you to all of the teachers and students who have been involved in the Burnt Hills UMC Sunday School program this year. It has been a year filled with some great things, some surprises, learning new ways to be Church and Sunday School together even while apart. I want to thank you all for all the hard work you have put in and the commitment you have shown to continue on, through days like none of us have ever seen before. None of us is certain of what the Fall will bring, but whatever we face, I go into the Summer with confidence, having seen the ways you have all responded over the last several months, and certain that next year will be a great one, no matter what it looks like.

As we prepare for our last week, I know that some of you may be seeing world and national events and feeling uncertain, concerned or even fearful. Each family is likely having their own discussions around these feelings, but I want all of the students, and teachers, to know that your Pastors are available if you need to talk through something or ask questions. I look forward to seeing you all again soon, and maybe even hearing from some of you over the summer ( a note or even a video saying hi and sharing how your Summer is going). Remember, that Sunday School may be on a break, but God, and your Church, never take a break and both are always there to love and support you. May you all have a blessed summer and some great adventures!

K-4, Mrs. Stephanie Tope and Mrs. Meg Farrell

Dear Friends,

We are closing out Sunday School season and wrapping up our academic life, all with the excitement to begin Summer. Summer will look and feel different to us this year and we hope you have a safe, fun and relaxing break.

Would you like to know how Jesus spent his Summers? He fished, hiked, rock climbed, enjoyed nature, and meditated!

I challenge you to keep a journal this summer of all the fun things you did. How do they compare to the activities that Jesus did?

Mrs. Tope and I miss you all so much, and we can’t wait to see our friends in person. Contact us anytime during the summer should you need anything!
