Adapted Community Recreation
Columbia Parks and Recreation offers adapted recreation programs (Adapted Community Recreation), located at Paquin Tower and is designed for individuals with special needs. The program is open to the community. If you wish to participate in any Parks and Recreation activity, yet feel you may need some special accommodation, please call the office.

Adapted Sports
The City of Columbia offers numerous sports to individuals with special needs. Competitions are through Special Olympics, however, competing is not required for participation. When you register, please be sure that your athlete has a current physical and release form. New participants must schedule a New Athlete Meeting prior to participation. To schedule a new athlete meeting, contact Jessica Sida.

Columbia Mall Trip
Lunch at will be on December 8 at 10:30 am. Please sign up in advance and have a current Rec Card. Don't forget money for lunch ;)
Adapted Bell Choir
Learn how to play the melody chimes on December 11 at 3:30 pm. We'll meet in the lobby of Paquin Tower.
Ornament Workshop
Time to make ornaments! Come by on December 13th at 5 pm to learn how to make and decorate ornaments for the holidays. Workshop fee is $5. Please sign up in advance.
Christmas Light Tour
December 12th at 6 pm we will leave from Paquin Tower and see the Christmas lights around Columbia. We will even make a special visit to the magic tree!
Dance at the ARC
Join us at the ARC for a fun night of great music and lots of dancing on December 15 at 6:30 pm. Snacks will be provided. Cost is $5.00 at the door and is located at 1701 W. Ash St. Columbia, MO 65203.
Biscuits and Gravy
Breakfast will be served on December 22 at 9 am. B&G will be $2.00/plate.
Cooking with Anna
Come join us in the Paquin kitchen area to discuss and sample easy and budget friendly dishes on December 18th at 5 pm.
Cookies and Cocoa
Come join us on December 22nd at 4pm in the Paquin Kitchen area to make and decorate some cookies and enjoy some hot cocoa before the Christmas weekend.
Happy Hour Fitness (HHF)
Happy Hour Fitness is a small group that meets Monday through Friday at 3 pm to be more active.
Unofficial Paquin Movie Group
We're back!! The new, bigger and better T.V. is here! We'll be doing movie nights on Tuesdays at 6 pm.
Adapted Community Recreation Art Room
The art program is a walk-in program, and is open to the community. Participants are free to come and go as they please. The art instructor is usually available at 11 am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is a studio fee of $2.00 for scheduled crafts and to cover craft materials.

- Wednesdays: 11 am-4 pm
- Thursdays: 11 am-4 pm
- Fridays: 11 am-4 pm
