Culture Discussion
This week we will be discussing what teenagers like to do for fun. Of course, it may be different in big cities compared to smaller towns, but there are many cities located throughout Japan. Students often ride the trains, buses or even bikes into the city to be able to participate in some of the activities listed in the culture notes.
GRADES!!
Grades will be sent to schools this week and your counselors should be able to access them by Thursday. We have only 3 weeks left of the course! Wow! Time flies! If you are behind, please work to catch up NOW. Don't put it off! You will be very busy at the end of the school year with your other courses, so it is important to get caught up as soon as possible with this one.
Telling time
This week we will learn how to tell time and how to invite people to do activities with us. There is a LOT of grammar again this week, so you will need to spend additional time trying to learn how to put times together and how to conjugate the verbs to invitational and volitional forms. Good luck ^_^
CONVERSATION COACHING
LANGUAGE COACHING
PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN COACHING SESSIONS EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO ATTEND WITH AN ALTERNATE COACH. THESE SESSIONS ARE SO IMPORTANT TO YOUR SUCCESS!!
Important Information about Assignments
READ THE RUBRICS!!
I can't stress this enough. Some students are turning in fantastic work, but it does not meet the criteria specified in the rubric, resulting in B's and C's rather than the A that they are capable of. Look at the rubric before, during, and after completing the assignment to see if all criteria have been met. This 2nd quarter is a little more difficult, so it is important to get as many points as possible.
