RESOURCES FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
High School Student Services
Our goal is to assist Choctaw students with academic information to promote education and/or career path beyond high school. We assist any Choctaw student, 9th – 12th grade, attending an accredited high school. Some of the services available are scholarships, reimbursements of the following - ACT/SAT fees, ACT Prep workshops, College Prep study guides, driver’s education, college application fee, cap & gown, AP Test fee.

Graduation Cords
If you are a graduating Senior this year don’t forget to fill out an application for a graduation cord! We will be mailing cords every Friday so it may take up to 14 days to receive your cord from the time you fill out the application depending on where you are located. Due to the extra time it may take to process we would encourage students and parents to fill out the application as soon as possible!

Higher Education Scholarships
Any tribal member of the Choctaw Nation actively pursuing a higher education degree may apply to receive assistance in the form of a scholarship or grant payable directly to an accredited college or university. There are no blood quantum or location restrictions. Students must be working towards a minimum of an associate degree. Scholarship amount depends upon high school or college grade point average. Choctaw Clothing Allowance
The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma offers a one-time college clothing allowance to Choctaw tribal member throughout the United States who are working toward a minimum of an associate degree. Students must complete at least 12 hours, as a full-time college student, with a semester GPA of 2.0 or above in their most recently completed Spring or Fall semester. Students who apply must also be enrolled in at least 12 hours for their upcoming Spring or Fall semester. Graduate and Nursing students are also eligible for the program with full-time status. Award amounts are based off the most recently completed semester’s GPA.

Choctaw Nation Career Development
Within today’s global economy, finding and keeping a job requires higher skill levels than ever before. Employers want workers with documented skills based on “real world” experience. Choctaw Nation’s vision for the development of the Career Development Program is to create a pipeline to quality career and technology training as well as career services for the Choctaw people. Students must be pursuing a degree that results with a License or Certification in order to receive assistance.
