Summer Forensic Science Camp 2016
June 13-17 or June 20-24 or July 11-15
Open to students entering grades 7-12
Students will participate in real-world, hands-on lab activities in the forensic science field including how to collect and package forensic evidence, maintain chain of custody, fingerprinting techniques, blood spatter analysis, hair and fiber analysis, and how to set up a PCR machine for DNA analysis. Students will use the skills learned to solve a mock crime scene at the end of the camp!
Potential Session Dates and Times
Session 1 M-F 9:00 am to 11:30 am Dates: June 13-17
Session 2 M-F 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm Dates: June 13-17
Session 3 M-F 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm Dates: June 20-24
Session 4 M-F 9:00 am to 11:30 am Dates: July 11-15*16 spots are available for each session. Sessions will be combined if we do not have enough students participating to form multiple sessions.

Learn how blood droplet size and position can reveal characteristics of a suspect!
Cost = $100 per student, includes 12.5 hours of instruction/activities and materials to bring home.
