Hoedown is on April 22! We are still looking for high school volunteers to staff booths at the event and parent volunteers to help the day of the event. Visit to sign up to help and contact Echo Hamilton if you know of responsible High Schoolers needing community service hours.

One of the great traditions of the Hoedown is the Alamo School Cakewalk! We need cakes, cakes and more cakes to make it successful! Please sign up to donate a cake HERE and let the cakewalk roll!

Is making and decorating cakes your kids jam? Then have them enter the CAKE MAKING and DECORATING CONTEST at the Hoedown. All Students are welcome to submit their desserts to win a prize! Submissions are due Friday, April 22nd by 3:30pm in the MPR. Contact Jennifer Lucchese with questions!

In honor of Earthday, we are holding a cleanup at our school. We will meet at the lower playground on Sunday, April 24 at 9:00am. Please bring water, a hat and gloves if you have them. Garbage bags and other supplies will be provided. We expect to be at the school till 11:30am. Let’s show our school some love!!!

April 22 is Advocacy Day for SRVUSD PTA. This year the theme is “Raise the Base” which aims to increase the base amount of funding that every child in California receives from the state government. With panels featuring local superintendents, civic leaders, and legislators, this is your chance to advocate for what you believe is important. Register here for this important event:

Many thanks to our corporate sponsors who pledged their support to Alamo’s live auction fundraiser. Over the next several weeks we will be highlighting them in the Mustang News and on our social media channels!

We thank Waldron Partners for being a Supporter Sponsor this year and helping us reach our fundraising goals! Peter Waldron grew up in Alamo and lives locally with his family. Waldron Partners aims to fully understand their clients’ financial situation, including their goals, fears, and passions. They prepare families to build wealth generationally and explain how to afford what life has to offer. Their clients always come first. Waldron Partners delivers an honest, informed, and unique perspective to financial planning that cannot be found anywhere else.

Volunteers for next year’s board positions: Do you have experience in graphic design? Are you organized and enjoy event planning? Would you be able to write emails seeking donations and organize items received? We need someone to fill our graphic designer and auction committee roles for next year! These important events cannot take place without volunteers to run these programs. Please reach out to to hear about what positions are available or fill out our Google form to indicate your interest. Thank you for your consideration.

We are holding a *quick* 10 minute, Google Meet general association meeting to vote on our proposed slate of officers and directors for next year. Please join us Wednesday, April 20th, at 8:05 am to cast your vote. You can view the proposed slate here.

Budget update: We are getting close to the end of the year, but haven’t yet reached our budget goals! See here for an updated breakdown of the Ed Fund’s revenue and expenses for the 2021-2022 school year. We hope to meet or exceed our goals with the final results of Bocce, Bubbles and BBQ on May 21st!

Restaurant giveback: We earned $365.75 during our CPK dine and donate event! Thank you to all who ordered from CPK in Walnut Creek! We are planning a May giveback at MYO Frozen Yogurt-stay tuned for more information as the date approaches!

Sports Basement: Mark your calendar! Sports Basement giveback week is coming April 30-May 8th! View this flyer for more information on how to save at Sports Basement, sign up to become a basementeer and give back to the Ed Fund with each purchase - not just this week but the whole year!
