IMPORTANT AIRWAYS INFORMATION
Report Card News!!!
In an effort to provide you with your child’s quarter and semester grades as soon as possible, all students grade 6 through 12 will have their report cards posted online.
You will be able to access your child’s report card by having your child pull it up on their Chromebook, other school device or through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
This change will allow you to see your child’s most current, up-to-date grades, including any grade revisions.
You will receive a call from your child’s school letting you know when the report cards have been posted so that you will be able to access them from either your child’s device or the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
Paper copies of report cards will no longer be mailed home. If you would like a paper copy of your child’s report card, please contact your child’s school registrar and they will send a paper copy home to you with your child.
Marion County Vision Screener
The Marion County Public Health Department provides state mandated vision screening services for all students in first, third, fifth and eighth grades. We also screen any new students who have transferred into Marion county from other counties or from out of state, and any student suspected of having vision problems. We will be at FTMS-East November 15th and 16th, 2018.
If your child wears glasses and/or contacts, we expect him/her to complete their screening with their visual aids. It is important to us that your child pass his/her screening, versus failing them unnecessarily because their glasses/contacts were not with them. If your student has a pre-existing medical issue and is under the care of a doctor, please let us know.
You, as the parent or legal guardian, have the right to decline this service for your child. If you do not want the Marion County Public Health Department to conduct a vision screening on your child, please complete the bottom half of the letter and return it to the school. This letter will be copied and kept on file at the school as well as with the MCPHD screening staff.
World Culture Club
The next FTMS-East World Cultures Club meeting is Friday, Nov. 30th from 2:20-2:50pm in Mr. Laker's room (1608). A permission slip/liability waiver form must have been turned in previously or be brought to the meeting in order to attend. We will be reviewing various holidays from around the world, and students are encouraged to bring information about holidays their family celebrates during the months of November and December.
Pick up is outside Door #7 at 2:57.
