From the Nest...
Over these past four months, our students and staff have been putting forth huge efforts to meet or exceed grade level expectations. Our commitment continues to push high expectations to bring high achievement. We promote these expectations every day at school, but we cannot do it alone. Being at school all day consistently is one of the biggest factors in student achievement.
As parents ourselves, we recognize illness and doctor’s appointments sometimes impact attendance, however we are seeing more and more students arriving late and leaving early each day.
A few things you can do to support consistent, full-day attendance are:
Make school attendance a priority
Talk to your child(ren) about the importance of being on time to school
Establish an early bedtime to ensure students wake with enough sleep
Create a routine for the morning
Try to schedule necessary appointments around the school day, if possible
These efforts to reinforce the importance of learning will yield positive results for our students. If you are having difficulty with your child’s attendance, please reach out to us so we can support you.
As always, we thank you for your continued support and partnership in our educational program.
Warm regards,
Hannah Feldman & Lisa Wrzesinski
