Jefferson Journey
Jefferson in Bloom ~ Jefferson Florecido
10.18.23
Hello Jefferson Families!
We have a lot of information for the remainder of this month and into next! Please read on for more information. We hope that your autumn season has started off warm in your hearts, despite the cooler temperatures. If there is anything at all that we can do to support you and your family, please let us know.
Halloween
Student Dress Up
- Costumes should not be too gory or scary
- Costume accessories that would be considered a weapon or loose object should not be brought to school
- Students should NOT bring any face masks that would cover their faces
Any costumes not following these guidelines will require students to change clothes. If you have any questions, please let us know!
Red Ribbon Week Spirit Week
To help encourage our kids in making good choices, we are taking part in Red Ribbon Week. This is all about making healthy choices for our bodies and staying drug free.
Our Jefferson student council is busy working on a presentation for their classrooms about healthy choices. What can you do as a family to make healthy choices together?
Report Cards
Student report cards will be available for viewing online Thursday, October 26th. We will be sending instructions home next week for how to view them online.
Report cards will be printed after the 2nd and 4th quarters for you to have paper copies of. Please let us know if you need any assistance viewing your child's report card after they are released.
Erin's Law Presentations
The program is developmentally appropriate, interactive, and aligned with learning standards. The focus of his presentation is to teach children basic skills to keep them safe from dangerous or abusive situations. The concepts that will be discussed are:
Distinguishing safe from unsafe touches
Safety rules at home and school
Saying “NO”
Safe/Unsafe Secrets
It’s not the child’s fault if someone touches him or her
Telling a trusted adult
Your child will be bringing home a permission slip to participate in this presentation. Please fill it out and return it to the school by Friday, October 27th.
