WEDNESDAY CLASSES:
Greatness Through Gratitude! (Grades 1-2) According to Harvard Medical School, “In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.” So let’s continue to set up our kids for success by teaching them to thoughtfully practice gratitude! Each week we will read and discuss the power of gratitude. Then use our creativity to display this feeling for Sprague school community member(s). Students will see first hand how their kind and thoughtful actions affect others and even themselves!
Movie Club! (Grades K-2) Join us for a viewing of a PG rated movie where we will discuss and write about the characters, plot development and come up with creative alternative endings to the movies we watch!
Read Aloud Art! (Grades 1-2) During Read Aloud Art the students will hear a picture book read aloud by Dr. Delli and then create an art project as an extension of the book. The students will be using various materials to create their art work including paint, paper, pipe cleaners, and other crafting materials. (Materials Fee)
