We hope you've enjoyed your summer.
We can't wait to see you and get started with this school year!
You'll be receiving a phone call soon from your teacher.
You will see a call from 405-259-9478, you can save it in your phone now so you'll know it's us!
We are excited to watch you grow and soar this year!
NWEA: Growth Map Reading "Eye Exam"
For our progress assessment we will use NWEA MAPS. Throughout the school year your student will take the MAPS to monitor their progress and growth.
We know hearing the word "assessment" can seem big and scary to both you and your student; so we will be calling it an "eye exam". When you go to the doctor for an eye exam, the doctor is just checking to see what you can see, so he can help fill in what you can't.
We are doing the same thing with MAPS! We just want to see what your student "knows". We do not expect them to know it all! We are using this critical data to help create an individualized instructional plan for your student this year. Our goal is for each student to grow 1 years growth. In order to achieve that we need accurate data each time they take the MAP screener.
BISON BOOTCAMP
During this time we will get to know each other, learn about Newrow, do some fun activities, and answer any questions you have. Be sure to attend each day so you can start the year off Strong!
- New students will have the option to come at 9:00a.m. OR 2:00p.m.
- Returning student will have the option to come at 10:30a.m OR 1:00p.m.
