We Love Ms. Grey!

It’s Principal Appreciation Week and aren’t we the luckiest school community to be able to call Amanda Grey our very own Shining ShamROCK of a Principal?!

Ms. Grey is a strong and equitable school leader, she takes the success of our entire school to heart. She is committed to building a strong Grant community and is always ready to find and implement approaches for the benefit of everyone. She is creative in her problem-solving and takes on challenges with a can-do attitude.

Ms. Grey understands the strengths and needs of our Grant students and Grant staff. She is always making sure that school time and resources are focused not only on student achievement but on the overall wellness of each integral component of our school community whether it be students, parents, teachers and staff.

Please join the Grant PTA in heartfelt appreciation for all that Ms. Grey does in keeping our Grant School a Promise and a Possibility for all!

The Jog-A-Thon is THIS Friday!

Grant gear or green clothing is encouraged. Please send your child to school in running shoes with a reusable water bottle.

Thank you to all our volunteers. Please remember that all volunteers MUST be registered with the office. If interested in volunteering, please stop by the front office to fill out your paperwork and sign up here.

We are so excited to have the Jog-A-Thon back on school campus, but we know it will still look a little different this year without family attendance so we are bringing the jog-a-thon to you. Early Pick-Up Protocols: Front Office

We understand that students sometimes need to leave school early for appointments and other obligations. In the case that you need to pick your student up early from school, please allow time for your student to gather up their belongings and make their way to the office. A ten-minute buffer is recommended. This also allows time for you to check your student out on our iPad.

Please do not call ahead to have your student come to the office. We will call your student down to the office when you arrive.

Thank you!

Vintage Grant Apparel Swap Coordinator

Grow out of your Grant gear last year? Donate it to our VIntage Grant Apparrel Swap Drive! We are currently looking for 1-2 parents to coordinate our new Vintage Grant Apparrel Swap Drive. This involves collecting gently worn, donated apparel items from the drop box, washing items, sorting and displaying items by size, deciding when donations are due and when the event will take place. More details to follow once a coordinator has been decided. Interested? Email Jennea:

Membership Drive

There are just 3 more days of our Membership Drive. And we are almost to our goal of 200 members!! If you haven’t joined the PTA yet, now’s a great time to join:

PCS Holiday Fun Fun!

We are gearing up for our first ever PCS 1 mile/5K/10K Family Holiday Fun Run. If your child is interested in participating in the 5K or 10K and would like to prepare ahead of time, we are putting together a Run Club at each school site. Practices will be held after school once a week on the day and time of the teacher or parent volunteers choosing. The final event will be held on Saturday, December 11th where students and families will have the opportunity to participate in either a 1 mile, 5K, or 10K at Shollenberger Park and Ellis Creek.

If your child is interested in joining the Run Club to prepare for the 5K or 10K, please complete this registration form. You will also need to complete a liability form for each participant (English version/ Spanish version)

Please contact Gina Roberts at with any questions.

Sonoma County Kids Gran Fondo

The Sonoma County Kids Gran Fondo is a bike race for kids. We’re encouraging kids to help other kids, as well as nurturing them to grow with open minds and compassionate hearts. It’s fun, inclusive, educational, and above all else, we truly believe it makes a positive impact for children in need. Each year, through kid-activated fundraising and the community effort of Petaluma and the surrounding area, the Fondo raises money for local families of children dealing with life-threatening illnesses or disabilities- We call these brave kids our Heroes. You can learn more about our heroes (both are seniors in high school this year) on the Sonoma County Kids Gran Fondo webpage. Due to the pandemic, this year's event is going to be all virtual the last week of October, Facebook info here.

How to Participate

  • Step 1: Register for the Gran Fondo

  • Step 2: Buy a T-shirt (funds go directly to our Heroes!)

  • Step 3 (extra credit): Download a pledge form and fundraise for our Heroes!

  • Step 4: Packet Pick Up Day the week of October 24th (will send details as we get closer)

  • Step 5: Run, scoot, skip, bike, or walk your race with either your t-shirt or Halloween costume and take a selfie!
