Sexual Assault/Abuse
3 Common Misconceptions
1. "Only women can be raped"- That is a popular and untrue stereotype. Anyone can be raped.
2. "Women are raped alone in dark alleyways at night"- Also untrue. Rape can be done anywhere.
3. "Husbands cannot rape their wives"- By definition, rape is forcibly committing vaginal intercourse without consent. Nowhere does it say husbands can't rape their wives.
