Choose My Plate

Choose my plate has replaced the familiar food pyramid. It is a new, easy way to make sure that we are building healthy meals for our families. The plate is broken up into four sections. Fruits and vegetables make up half of the plate, with a little more vegetables than fruit. The other half of the plate is made up of grains and protein. Grains are take up a little more than protein on this side of the plate. There is also a cup of dairy next to the plate. You can get your portion of dairy by drinking low-fat milk. Choose My Plate helps parents and kids to build healthy meals!
