October News from the Office
Here are a few special points to review with your child. If you have any questions about your student's progress academically, socially, or behaviorally, please contact their teacher or the office at any time.
- You may have noticed or heard from your child that Lebanon School District is using a different Math resource this year called EnVision Math. As with any new change, both teachers and students are navigating this new resource to make sure your child is getting exposed to grade-specific content and practicing those skills daily.
- In Reading, we are still using our ARC program to engage students with on-level independent reading books while supporting a more confident reader. As a reminder: on October 17th, at-home reading will begin when your child is responsible for reading at least one step (or 15 minutes) each night. The reading practice should be logged on your child's reading log that will be sent home with him or her each night.
- Remember to check for Seesaw messages and announcements so we can stay connected.
- Please enforce the desired behaviors Harding Elementary expects to see every day. By being respectful, responsible, and safe, our Harding family can be successful throughout the building and continue to build an atmosphere where engaged learning and equitable communication can occur.
- Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held November 21st and 22nd. Information on sign-ups will be handed out later in October. Please reserve those days in your schedules so you can meet with your child's teacher and learn about the progress that he or she made so far this school year.
