Only a Few Days Left
It is as important, perhaps even more important, during the holiday season to stick to classroom routine, expectations, and stay on task. Though it may seem like a fun idea to take a break from the norm and do a holiday celebration in class, I caution against this. No, I am not a curmudgeon this time of year, I am battling parents for attendance and students for good behavior. The thought with some of our parents is that we "Don't do anything productive the last few days, so why should I send my kid?" I agree that we should be having fun in class, but in a productive manner. So, I ask that you keep this in mind as the holidays approach. I have already fielded one such call, and the parent is keeping the kid all next week!
Henry's Visit
In this picture he is discussing his first school that was made partially with "Cow Dung" and, according to him, Uganda has really nice cow dung! The students loved it!
