Important Health Reminders
Please be aware that we are seeing some increases in student absences. As cold and flu season begins, along with cases of COVID-19 still circulating, we wanted to share some reminders around healthy prevention practices.
Please see the attached for some important health reminders to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, flu, and other illness and please review them with your child(ren). I apologize that this information is only available in English at this time.
Boulder Hill School-wide Independent Readathon
Hello Boulder Hill families.
We have kicked off our School-wide Independent Readathon. We're excited to see how many minutes of independent reading our Bobcats engage in this year.
We'd love for our Bobcats to continue their independent reading during the break. If you'd like for your child to contribute their reading minutes to their grade level points please submit your child's minutes using this survey. https://forms.gle/CJKb9nevrtqtWZS78
Let's encourage our little Bobcats to READ! READ! READ!
Progress Reports available next week on Mastery Connect
Attached please find information regarding progress reports. You will receive communication from the district regarding your student's progress report on November 21st.
Student Council participates in Tree Festival @ Montgomery Village Hall
The Village of Montgomery is continuing to offer the traditional indoor tree festival, complete with community voting as in years past, throughout December. The Student Council would like to invite the BH community to join us on Monday, November 28th from 5:15pm-6:45pm at the Montgomery Village Hall. We will be decorating it black, red, and silver so that we can make it Bobcat beautiful!
The Boulder Hill tree will be on display from December 4-30.
Thank you,
Mrs. Osuch and the Boulder Hill Student Council
Dia de los Muertos pictures return
We still have pictures that were sent in for Dia de los Muertos project that do not have names on them. We would like to return these precious photos to the families. If you have not received your picture sumbission please contact your child's teacher or you may come to the main office to search for your submission.
SD308 Community CHAT: Building Structure & Routine at Home
This is a great opportunity for our Boulder Hill parents that is offered free by our district. We hope that some of our families will participate.
CHATS are an opportunity to share stories, experiences, worries, fears, wisdom, and find community and strength together.
Join the next Community CHAT session scheduled for Monday, November 21st (6-7:30pm) virtually where the topic is: "Building Structure & Routine at Home." What does structure and routine mean to you? Do you have trouble following a routine? Have you witnessed meltdowns changing from one activity to another? Change and challenges are ever present. Resiliency is a very important asset to foster, practice and instill in children.
We hope you'll join the conversation in this welcoming, virtual environment of fellow parents, led by our Family and Community Outreach Coordinator.
From our Superintendent Dr. John Sparlin
It certainly feels like winter weather is upon us! As a reminder, if winter weather interrupts our ability to open schools or hold extracurricular activities, we will do our best to notify you as early as possible and in a number of ways. School closing information can always be found on our website, social media channels, and by visiting the Emergency Closing Center website. We will use our Blackboard messaging system to send alerts through email, text, and phone. Now is a good time to log in to Tyler SIS to view your account information and be sure phone numbers and email addresses are correct! Your school can assist you with any changes you may need to make. Please remember to send students dressed appropriately for the cold!
This week across the district, we celebrated our many educational support professionals during the 101st annual American Education Week. Join me in thanking all of our support personnel in our schools for their contributions which enable our students to learn in a positive, supportive environment. These special people are an incredibly valuable part of our school family!
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
