SOL TESTING INFORMATION!
SOL Testing Starts this Week!
Rock Ridge will be administering the Standards of Learning (SOL) tests this week. Our modified bell schedule can be found here.
Your student received an email with their unique SOL schedule for 5/10-5/12 on Thursday evening.
The email covers the locations and assignments of students during the morning 3-hour testing block this week only. Students who do not have any type of testing or an AP exam review, have been scheduled for a three-hour study hall.
Tuesday, May 17th is our designated day for makeup SOL tests and expedited retakes. Students will be emailed their assignments for this day late next week. Any student who has afternoon AP exams, exams on the 9th or 13th, or who have alternate dates for SOLs will receive separate emails with these details.
**If you are planning for a late arrival or early dismissal on ANY of these dates, you must indicate this ASAP in ParentVue. Failure to report this in ParentVue ASAP will likely result in an extended wait time up to an hour at the attendance window.**
LCPS Devices are Mandatory for SOL Testing
Students are required to bring their LCPS-issued devices for testing. If students have not used their Chromebooks this school year, they are still responsible for reporting to their SOL test with an updated, working device. If a student has a damaged or lost Chromebook, please contact glenn.colucci@lcps.org before test day to arrange for a loaner Chromebook. RR is not loaning Chromebooks to students who forgot their device at home.

Why does my student have to test?
Students test for verified credits or federal accountability—both of which are mandatory reasons. Additionally, each student’s testing schedule is unique to their own situation and class load.
