Paris Attacks and growing threat of ISIS
There have been attacks in the middle east and then there was the Paris massacre which was just 10 months after the Charlie Hebdo shootings and these attacks raised awareness of the ability of ISIS to strike anywhere.
Racial unrest over police killings
The #BlackLivesMatter campaign started after the 2014 shooting of unarmed Michael Brown in Ferguson which brought attention to police brutality. The death of Freddie Gray in police custody also caused riots in Baltimore.
Supreme Court affirms same sex marriages nationwide
Supreme court rules that gay couples can now get married nationwide. Which led to many couples rushing to get married soon after.
"The dress" sparked global debate
The dress that split two rival sides of "black and blue" and "white and gold". This also caused many conversations about colorblindness and optical illusions.
Confederate symbols banned
Following the Charleston church massacres where a white man gunned down nine african-americans confederate symbols were banned from the South Carolina capitol and many other places.

Adidas has been causing trouble for Nike after Kanye West left Nike for Adidas. Kanye West's shoes have also been more popular with Adidas than it was with Nike. Adidas has been making more sales with Kanye on their team and even rivaling Nike's sales.
Amazon has grown a lot in 2015 and has become huge competition for Ebay and many people prefer amazon's reliability and convenience over ebay.

The Hoverboard was one of the best products that was introduced in 2015 causing it to become mainstream and many rappers and singers to use them.

Apple's Apple Watch was introduced in 2015 was highly anticipated and after it was released many people didn't buy it because of the high price point

Star Wars the Force awakens was released in 2015 and many people looked forward to it. It was teased early on and caused more hype for star wars junkies and movie goers alike.
Marvel's the Avenger's age of Ultron the sequel of the first movie the Avengers was also a movie that was looked forward too. This was also teased early on and marketed well so that people were excited for this to come out.

Caitlyn Jenner was one of the most influencial people of 2015 because she a famous person who is a transgender and I think that made the idea of becoming trans has become more accepted.
Kanye West has also been very influential in the fashion scene. Many people that follow Kanye will wear whatever he wears no matter how weird or out there it is.
Donald Trump was someone who made many people question "is he actually running for president" and to many people's surprise he is very serious about it and he is pretty famous for it.

2015 New Years Resolution
- I want to spend my money more intelligently and save up some money so I can make bigger purchases.
