Phi Chi Connection
Highlights from our Fall 2015 Semester
From the President
Hello sisters,
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your Fall 2015 President. I would like to thank all the sisters in the active cabinet and the rest of the sisters for all the hard work and dedication they put into this semester and continuing our legacy.
This semester we were involved in a lot of different philanthropies in the community. We volunteered at the Nike Women's Half Marathon, Breast Cancer Walk, Light the Night and Habitat for Humanity. It was rewarding to volunteer and make an impact in our community here in San Francisco.
Holding this position made me appreciate our beautiful sorority and the values we hold. I am proud and excited to see our sorority growth and the legacy continue.
Thank you again for the amazing opportunity.
Best regards,
Nchimunya "Chimi" Milambo

Spring 2014 Beta Alpha Lambda Class
From the Vice President
Hello Sisters,
As my term as Vice President comes to an end, I would like to thank all of you for the love and support I’ve received throughout the semester, none of this would’ve been possible without the lessons you’ve all taught me. This semester our cabinet worked on Phi Chi Appreciation Day which was to honor the success of Beta Chapter’s twentieth year here at San Francisco State University. During this event classes ranging from Beta Delta to Beta Alpha Mu came together to celebrate and reminisce all of the memories our sorority has provided for us. Although we did not have a luncheon because of this other big event, we are headed down to South Lake Tahoe January 16-18 if anyone would like to join us for a few days of bonding and activities! If you would still like to RSVP please do so no later than January 15th at 6pm. Thank you sisters for all of the endless nights, laughs, tears, and sisterhood.
Love,
Joleen Ceniceros

Hello Sisters!
This semester was not a huge fundraising semester. We raised about $1000 through events at the Levi’s Stadium; however since we have had numerous problems with the Stadium and receiving our share we are working on renewing our contract with AT&T and fundraising hard next semester! Thank you to everyone for your hard work this semester!Sam Ortiz

From the Activities Director
First, I just wanted to say thank you for a great semester. For Fall 2014, we focused on Sisterhood to continue building strong relationships within our organization, including events such as a sleepover, rock climbing, ice skating, and our annual Thanksgiving dinner. We also had socials with organizations both familiar and new to us to continue and establish connections. We struggled a bit with cultural events, but I plan on focusing more on that this coming semester. I hope to see you at Spring 2016 events! Thank you.

From the Director of Communications
This semester has been a great learning semester. In my position I continued working on our communication issues between the active cabinet and inactive and alumni sisters by sending bimontly newsletters, and consistently updating our website (which has currently been revamped). For those of you who aren't aware, our website is currently phigammachi.org and our email is pgc@mail.sfsu.edu.
I'd like to thank everyone who gave me advice and criticism, helping our website and communication to improve.

Welcoming the Nus
Hello Sisters,
I would like to introduce to newest edition to Phi Gamma Chi, our Beta Alpha Nu class. They crossed December 12th, 2015 at 4:33am. I'm truly proud of the five young women and excited to see what they will do for the sorority. Without further ado, I present Haley Perry, Leilani Trevino, Brianna Looney, Kimberly Becerril and Adrianna Benavides. Thank you to all the Sisters who helped me and participated in pledging this class. It was a pleasure working with you all.
Adrianna Benavides
Age: 20
Hometown: Ventura, CA
Major: Comparative World Literature
Hobbies: Enjoys playing cards, watching movies, listening to music, hanging out with my friends, organizing, theater, and history. She has an undying obsession with Lady Gaga and Amy
Winehouse.
Rip Name: SuPer Trooper- The P stands for Pusher always policing her line, checking up on them and putting pressure on them. The T stands for tears because she’s always crying during testing. Super Trooper as a whole because she always wanted to be a super pledge but never achieved it.
Kimberly Becerril
Age: 21
Hometown: Salinas, CA
Major: Psychology
Hobbies: Exploring new things, shopping, spending time with family, playing cards and board games, and driving late night with music.
Rip Name: B. C.- B.C for booty call because when she goes home she sneaks out to hook up with her ex fiancé. The C is for camel toe that she has in her purples.
Haley Perry
Age: 20
Hometown : Mendicino, CA
Major: Photojournalism and International Relations
Hobbies: Traveling, video games, dancing, dogs, reading, and being outdoors.
Rip Name: twEAk- EA is for erect ariola because she doesn’t wear bras and she did not wear one to Sisterhood and we could see her nipples through her dress. Tweak as a whole because she’s always fidgeting and can never stand/sit still.
Leilani Trevino
Age: 18
Hometown: Huntington Park
Major: Drama
Hobbies: Watching vines and exploring
Rip Name: period- period because of her awkwardly disgusting period story about her step dad pulling a prank on her with her period saying she was going to die and she didn’t know how to use a pad correctly(she put them on her body not in her underwear). The 'i' is for herself because she is always talking about herself. Period as a whole because she never stops talking about anything and everything.
Brianna Looney
Age: 22
Hometown: Long Beach
Major: Cinema
Hobbies: Reading, writing, video games, sleeping, scenic drives, traveling, and exploring new shopping areas.
Rip Name: E. T.- Stands for E.T like the movie because she looks like him and because when she gets flustered/nervous you cannot understand her when she speaks because it sounds like she is not speaking English.
