The Sophomore Spirit
News and Events for Team 2021
Schedule for Finals
Because our students have asked for more time to prepare for exams and to not have four exams on one day, we have created a new schedule that will be implemented this year. ALL students will finish class on Thursday and Friday at 11am and will be dismissed from BHS at this time. Students driving, walking, or riding with a peer/guardian can leave directly at the 11am dismissal, and students riding a bus home will head to their bus at dismissal. Students will have the option of grabbing lunch in the main building cafe prior to leaving. The week of finals will have teacher "Office Hours" available for student support, so please reach out to a specific teacher if your student would to schedule a time.
Cold and Flu Season
Remember that students MUST go home through the clinic if they are feeling ill in order to avoid an unexcused absence.
Center for Leadership Development
Mrs. Mehrtens received news that the Center for Leadership Development is looking for candidates for their January session, and they would LOVE to have some of Brownsburg’s best African American/Minority Students come their way. The mission of the Center for Leadership Development is to foster the advancement of minority youth in Central Indiana as future professional, business and community leaders by providing experiences that encourage personal development and educational attainment.
If you think this would be a good fit for your sons/daughters, please contact Joshua Webb, Self-Discovery/Career Exploration Coordinator at jwebb@cldinc.org. You can visit their website at https://cldinc.org/programs-and-initiatives/self-discoverycareer-exploration-project-sdce/ for additional information and registration materials as well.
