January House Reading Challenge!
This month, we are having our school-wide reading challenge. Each of our six houses are competing to see who can read the most books. Stay tuned to find out which house will win our reading challenge! Good luck, and happy reading!

Upcoming Safety Drill
In accordance with Virginia Code §22.1-137.2, we will be conducting a lock-down during the week of January 17-20, 2023. We will provide you with follow-up communication once the drill has concluded.
Teacher Job Fair
Are you or someone you know interested in teaching with Hanover County Public Schools? Our HCPS virtual job fair will be held on
Saturday, January 28th and the Week of Jan 30 - Feb 2. Interviews will be offered to individuals who are currently licensed or eligible for a provisional license through the Virginia Department of Education and seeking employment for the 2023-2024 school year. Interested candidates are asked to pre-register for the event by completing the application for the Job Fair vacancy through the HCPS
jobs website.
Family Life Education
The Family Life Education will take place from January 31-February 2. Parents who wish to opt-out their child from family life will need to complete the online opt-out request form listed below. By completing this opt-out form, you are requesting a paper copy of the opt-out form to complete. Students will only be opted out of family life education with a signed paper copy that is returned to their classroom teacher prior to the lesson.

MUDDY PLAYGROUND: Ms. Nelson has had an increasing number of kids come in from the playground muddy and needing a change of clothes. If you could all pack an extra pair of pants to leave in your child’s backpack that would be most appreciated.
