A strong mood involving sadness, discouragement, despair or hopelessness that lasts for weeks, months, or even longer.
Signs or Symptoms
Negative thinking, Negative feelings and mood, Low energy or motivation, Physical symptoms, Social withdrawing.
How does Depression affect someone?
Depression affects how a person acts, when one is usually chipper but now is down in the dumps. And the reason for that is that Depression drains motivation.
How is Depression diagnosed?
Depression is diagnosed when during medical checkup a doctor can check for any health conditions that might be similar, like depressed mood, low energy, and tiredness.
How is Depression treated?
Depression can be treated by talking to a counselor, or a mental health professional that can diagnose your depression, & create a plan to treat it by helping to put your feelings into words.
