Let's Be Prepared!

We love Snow!! Well I don't, but all the kiddos love it and I love providing snow during the day so you don't have to worry about it at night. I'm hoping we get enough for a snowman at least once this season. So on days that we are in the clear to go outside, we will be out for at least 5-10 minutes. Please make sure to bring in hats, gloves, coats, and boots if you have them. Also make sure there is always a backup outfit in case we make snow angels or get our clothes too wet. Thank you :)

Vacations and PTO

Did you know we have a PTO? Interested in helping out? Please see Ms. LeAndra or Ms. Alisha.

Who do you contact concerning vacation credit? Asking a teacher will get you no where. Please email Mr. Mike at

In the Classroom!

Remind Me App: It's a free app that we're using to for simple reminders like show and share, friend of the week, physical due dates, etc. Our class code is 26kh9g

December...yay...Happy Holidays!! The month we will be doing lots of festive things for the holidays!! We will be celebrating Ginch-mas so be sure to ask you kiddos what's it all about. We are still continuing to work hard on taking care of our classroom and putting items away when we are done playing with them. We're also doing a big push on using are math terms this month along with washing our hands and sneezing/coughing into our elbows. This month, we will have several fun experiments, open ended art activities, and focusing on our reading and writing in the classroom. We are going to encourage the kids on incorporating writing into almost every activity that we do in the classroom. We will be writing lists of supplies we use and writing activities that we will be doing to work on perfecting our letter formation and translating that over to our early reading. This month's Zoophonics friends will be: J, D, and then we will have a Christmas week, and will close the month with review of the letters S, J, and D. December is sure to be a fun filled month!!!

They will definitely be filling my bucket soon. Last time they only asked for a PJ day. This time they've voted for a PJ day with the Grinch Movie, popcorn, and chocolate milk.

Operation Tot Spot Gives Back!!

Operation Tot Spot Gives Back- Winning Class gets a Pizza Party and the winning teacher earns PTO!!!

We are teaming up with Scholastic and participating in a pajama drive. We are collecting until December 13th.

Who are the pajamas and books helping?

The pajamas and books are helping at-risk children (ages 0–18) throughout the country. Often homeless, in foster care, or in poverty, their unstable, uncertain lives make them uniquely vulnerable as bedtime approaches. Each night, millions of children in this country have no bed to call their own—let alone pajamas to change into or books to escape into—and so they have no concept of a loving bedtime. The treasured ritual of changing into clean pajamas and tucking in with an enchanting bedtime story are unknown; some of these children, in fact, have never heard of pajamas

What pajama sizes are needed the most?

Although Pajama Program accepts new pajamas in all sizes, the most overlooked ones are generally children’s sizes 8 to adult 3XL. It is often the bigger, older children who are left out.

What kinds of pajamas should I collect?

New pajamas only.

Pajamas should be a complete set—a top and bottom, or an appropriate nightgown.

Pajamas for all seasons, but especially warm, cozy ones to help the children on our list during the long, cold months at this time of year.

  • Please don't forget show and share items for Thursday. You can bring them in anytime before Thursday if you'd like to make sure your kiddo has an item.
  • Don't forget to tell your kiddos to wash their hand in the morning at drop off.

Tax Time is Approaching....

Dear Tot Spot Families,

I am sending this email because we are getting close to the end of the year and therefore close to tax season. Because of our changes from Rapid Tuition to Tuition Express there will be two-year end summaries (a mid year summary for Rapid Tuition and a year-end summary). I emailed all our families when we transferred from Rapid Tuition at the time of the change, so please check your email history for that email. As far as Tuition Express, every family has direct access to your billing receipts through . If you have already signed up with you are ahead of the game. However, if you have not, you can register from this link You will use the email you received this message from to login. If you have any problems, please let me know.

Thanks again,

Michael Ramsey

Winter is coming!

As you all know cold season is here. Please help us prevent the spread of sickness by making sure to wash your kiddos hands in the morning before leaving. Talk to them about pretending to be an elephant and covering their mouth with their elbow (Use your sleeve, don't spread disease) Please encourage singing their hand washing song and most importantly....using the paper towel to turn the faucet off. Thank you for all your support in keeping TTS as healthy as we possibly can!!

I'm super excited for some Holiday books this month...are you?? Check out all the deals for this month!! Scholastic will be sent out December 4th and will orders will be due December 13th. Our online code is HQ686

Healthy Start Wisdom From Ms. Alisha

Grinch Kaboobs!

December definitely seems to be the season of cookies, candy, and over eating! Fight that feeling by having your kids help you make these yummy Grinch kabobs for a healthy snack!

The Book Nook

A Sherlock Favorite: How the Grinch Stole Christmas

“Every Who down in Who-ville liked Christmas a lot . . . but the Grinch, who lived just north of Who-ville, did NOT!” Not since “’Twas the night before Christmas” has the beginning of a Christmas tale been so instantly recognizable. This heartwarming story about the effects of the Christmas spirit will grow even the coldest and smallest of hearts. Like mistletoe, candy canes, and caroling, the Grinch is a mainstay of the holidays, and his story is the perfect gift for young and old.

And don't forget to celebrate Grinch-mas this Christmas season, the annual holiday tradition inspired by How the Grinch Stole Christmas that encourages readers to grow their hearts three sizes by doing good deeds!

Book Exchange

As the holiday season approaches we would like to focus on a great life! To help demonstrate that giving makes everyone feel loved, we would like to do a gift exchange. We are asking that each Sherlock bring in ONE unwrapped unisex book so we can exchange them and spread love to our Sherlock friends. We are asking that they be brought in by December 13th. Thank you and if you have any questions please let me know.
