Welcome Vista Families!
Weekly Cheetah Spotlight Video
Spirit Friday and Oct-GLOW-Ber!
oct-glow-ber and spirit friday!
This week's theme: Look high and low to make our campus "GLOW"!
We are praising cheetah scholars for taking care of their physcial spaces on campus.
Are we cleaning up after ourselves at breakfast and lunch?
Did you spot a cheetah lending a hand to keep our campus clean?
Are cheetahs helping our custodians and teachers with clean ups?
What are some other ways you can think of that show that we care for our campus???
Friday's Spirit Theme: Your Favorite VLMA, Black&Yellow, or Cheetah gear!
Class with the highest percentage of Cheetah-rrific spirit participants will gain possession of Cheeto the Cheetah Spirit "trophy"!
Congratulations to Ms. Arbesu's scoring big with a 71% participation rate in our Friday "Sports" Spirit Theme!
In an effort to support our “Take Care of Yourself, Take Care of Others, Take Care of Our School” goals, we will be focusing on recognizing “glowing” behaviors in the month of October. Each week, we will have a different behavior focus. We want to shine light on our cheetah scholars who are working hard on these goals. Each teacher will be given a stack of praise cards. If they see a class working hard on the weekly focus, they can give that class a praise card. Teachers hold onto any praise cards their students receive that week. Every Friday, there will be a box in the main office for teachers to deposit their class’ praise cards. During the Monday Cheetah Spotlight video, Mrs. A & Mrs. W. will be drawing 2 praise cards. Those 2 classes will receive a treat that afternoon to celebrate their glowing behaviors. Classroom teachers will set expectations and model each behavior so students will be prepared to show their greatness.

Celebrating the Season at VLMA
If you'd like to "treat" your scholar's class, consider sending NON-edible treats. Consider pencils, stickers, or even gifting the class with a book!
We ask that your child NOT wear a costume of any kind. It is the policy and long-standing practice of the Lemon Grove School district to NOT wear costumes as they can not only disrupt our learning, but restrict student movement and provide a safety hazard on the playground and fields.
Thank you!

Please let your teacher know if you still are having any issues.
