Welcome New and Returning Teachers!
The Educational Technology team wants to welcome our new teachers to DPS!
Our team is here to support you as you begin to:
integrate technology in the classroom
tackle classroom management with devices
encourage digital citizenship
embed technology into your curriculum throughout the school year
and more!
Veteran teachers, we also welcome you back to your classrooms. As you continue your journey as a valued educator at DPS, our team is here to support you on your journey and we look forward to our continued partnership.
We are eager to support you as you swim in the “SAMR pool.” Our department will offer professional learning as you dip your toes into the pool with Schoology, Google Classroom, Google Suite, or Seesaw. Our support continues as you swim laps in the pool with our team: writing in the classroom with digital tools, creating engaging assessment, and providing digital citizenship to keep our students safe in and out of the classroom. If you prefer a deeper dive, we can offer professional learning that supports writing in the classroom, Schoology for engaging class discussions, ELL resources for integration, or individualized support with coaching in your classroom based on your specific needs.
Check out our menu of services, and remember our team is here to support your school and your personal professional learning goals around the integration of technology into your classroom throughout the school year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our team for support.
We look forward to a great school year supporting teachers and administrators around their use of integrated technology -- to support a safe, joyful, rigorous and personalized learning environment for your students, honoring their voices and encouraging ownership of learning.

Starting the Year with Digital Citizenship
What’s your school’s plan for helping students and their families navigate the ever-changing digital world? Are lessons on digital wellness embedded in the student day? Are you showing parents how they can encourage responsible screen use?
Several DPS schools are launching the school year teaching and showing students how to safely and responsibly use the online world. Educators are using lessons from Common Sense Education, Google, BrainPOP, and other sources to remind kids from ages 8 -18 what digital wellness means. Families can also view the helpful resources at Common Sense to manage the media onslaught. For educators, DPS has implemented helpful “guardrails” and practices to help teachers manage a classroom with devices.
