Homecoming Tickets On Sale!

SCA is excited to announce that homecoming ticket are on sale now!


  • A single ticket is $30 and a couple's ticket is $35. Ticket prices will increase by $10 on September 28th. Purchase your ticket during WIN time with Ms. Hard in room 244.
  • All students wishing to purchase a ticket must pay their class dues before they can buy a homecoming ticket.
  • Guest forms are available in the front office. All guest forms must be approved by administration before tickets can be purchased. Guests over the age of 18 will not be permitted to the dance.


If you have any questions, please see Ms. Hard in room 244.

French Club, 9/27-CANCELLED

Attention French Club members, there will be NO FRENCH CLUB today. We will reschedule our meeting for next Wednesday instead. Again, no French Club today!

JM Writing Center, 9/27

The JM Writing Center will be meeting next Wednesday the 27th in room 233! We will continue working on our school newspaper, but students who are interested in creative writing or need help on a writing-related assignment are encouraged to come as well! We hope to see you there!

Adv. Geometry Remediation, 9/28 & 9/29

Ms. DeJesus will hold afterschool remediation for Adv. Geometry class on Thursday and Friday of this week in room 104.

International Food Festival, 9/28

Do you like free food? Want to learn more about other cultures? Or want to show off your cultural traditions?


Our Family and Community Engagement Committee (FACE) is hosting an International Food Festival next Thursday the 28th from 5-8 PM at JM!


Students and families are encouraged to sign up and bring food, share a cultural performance, or just show up and enjoy how diverse our community is!

Jayem PALS, 10/2

Jayem PALS don't forget we will be meeting on Monday, 10/2 after school. We will be painting the mural here at JM from 3pm until 4:15pm. If you are not yet a Jayem PAL we invite you to join us for this activity, especially if you are interested in art. See Ms. S or Mrs. Willging for more information.

Scholastic Bowl, 10/4

The Scholastic Bowl/Academic Quiz Team will hold its first practice on Wednesday, October 4th, after school in room 132. Come learn about this Varsity Sport and play a practice game. See Mr. Blosser with any questions.

Senior Sunrise, 10/6

Hey Jayem Seniors! Do you want to spend the morning with your classmates and friends watching the sunrise?


The Buzz is hosting the first annual Senior Sunrise on October 6th, from 6:45 to 7:30 on the practice field.


We’ll also be selling t-shirts and donuts to support the Buzz. But don’t worry if you aren’t a senior, you can still participate in a school-wide art contest, where anyone can create the design for the t-shirts. If you win, your design will be featured on everyone’s shirt, and you’ll get your own, Buzz-designed, shirt for free!


All entries can be submitted to Ms. Conde in room 211. All submissions are due on Friday, 9/29, so don’t wait!


Remember to check your email for updates and look out for flyers around the school. We can’t wait to see you all there!

AP Exam Sign Up! 9/27

Students who wish to sign up for an AP exam may do so by stopping by to see Mrs. Teri during lunch waves Wednesday, September 27th. A $40 deposit is due per AP test you would like to take. Checks can be made out to JMHS.

PSAT Alert!

Students who registered to take the PSAT should check their emails. An email was sent by Mrs. Teri with important information about computer requirements and practice tests. The PSAT will be given on Oct. 24th.

10th Graders!

10th grade students should login to Major Clarity and complete the interest inventory.

Reminder that Counseling Intern, Kasper Diller, will be pulling 10th graders from PE classes throughout the semester to review course selections and diploma requirements. The interest inventory should be completed prior to your meeting!

Parking Passes-On Sale Now

All student drivers must park in the student parking lot. Parking passes can be paid by cash or check in the main office. You are required to fill out the online application below. See Ms. Franke with any questions.

Bus Passes

In order to obtain a bus pass for a different bus, the student must turn in a note to the front office before lunch. We must confirm the note to be able to give the student a pass.

After School Policy

Students are reminded that if you're not staying after school with a teacher, sponsor or coach, you must leave the building at dismissal.

No Commercial Food Deliveries During School Day

This is a reminder that no outside food can be brought into or be delivered to the school. Students can bring food from home or enjoy provided daily meals without charge.

Behind the Wheel

Any student who plans on taking the Behind the Wheel course this semester needs to email Mr Brown at debrown@cityschools.com and get registered. If you have already registered, you need to call and get a scheduled time to drive.


You are required to drive at least 3 days. Please include in your email a contact number so Mr Brown can schedule you.
