Spirit Week!!!!! 10/11 -10/15

Thursday - Team Day

Students can show their love/support of professional, college, or high school sports teams.

Again, face paint is not allowed.

Friday - Spirit Day

Students can show off their JM school pride.

We plan on giving all JM students spirit beads as they come into the building.

Early Release Schedule

School Carnival at 12:00 pm


HOMECOMING GAME @ Maury Stadium – 7pm

Remember that backpacks are not permitted at football games at Maury Stadium. Guests will not be allowed to enter the game with a backpack.

Key Club!

For those who may be interested in community service, the Key Club will hold an interest meeting on Thursday, October 14 at 3:00 in Mr. Godfrey's classroom, 103, with guest speakers from the Kiwanis Club.


Pizza and other refreshments will be served. If interested, please stop by Mr. Godfrey's classroom no later than Wednesday so we will know how much food and drinks to provide.

DECA

DECA members: We will have a meeting after school in room 136 to discuss competition and the St. Jude Gala on Thursday 10/14.

JAYEM Pals

JAYEM Pals will host a Unity Day Contest.


Entries are due by October 15th and can be dropped off at Mrs. Waite's office in the library.

Students can also email documents or photographs of their art to Mrs. Waite.


· Winners will receive gift cards (there will be multiple winners)

· The contest is being judged by some of your favorite JM teachers and administrators.

Scholastic Bowl/Academic Quiz Team

The Scholastic Bowl/Academic Quiz Team will hold its first meeting on Monday, October 18th at 3pm in room 138. Come learn more about this varsity sport as we prepare for the season. See Mr. Blosser with any questions.

Jostens will be here on Monday, October 18, at 9:30 in the auditorium to present the Senior Class with details on Caps & Gowns and announcements.

ASVAB Registration

ASVAB registration is now open. Check with your counselor or with Mr. Pope in room 230 to learn how to register. The ASVAB is scheduled for November 10 at 8 am.

AP & IB Exam Payments

Students can begin making payments for AP and IB exams online now. Refer to the exam registration and fees flyer from your teacher for details.

Reminders from Dr. Duffy

No Commercial Food Deliveries During School Day.

  • This is a reminder that no outside food can be brought into or be delivered to the school. Students can bring food from home or enjoy provided daily meals without charge.

Parking Pass

All student drivers must park in the student parking lot. Parking passes are $80 this year and can be paid by cash or check in the main office to Ms. Franke. You are required to fill out the online application below.

Behind the Wheel

Any student who plans on taking the Behind the Wheel course this semester needs to email Mr Brown at debrown@cityschools.com and get registered. If you have already registered, you need to call and get a scheduled time to drive.


You are required to drive at least 3 days. Please include in your email a contact number so Mr Brown can schedule you.

Hey Seniors! Please complete the Senior Entrance Survey to prepare Ms. Said, Mrs. Smith, and your School Counselors to assist you with planning for your post-secondary plans and goals. If you do the survey by Thursday, October 28th, you'll be eligible to win 1 of 10 gift certificates for a glazed dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme!
