Math
We will continue reading, writing, and representing numbers to 10.
- It is common for kindergarten students to miscount. We encourage them to "touch and move" objects so that they do not count any twice. Can you think of opportunities to count often at home?
- We practice different ways to make a number. For example, 4 and 6 make 10. We are still not using symbols, just the concept.
Please help your child practice at home. Our new goal is at least 50.
Science and Social Studies
In Science, we will observe and describe the ways objects can move such as, in a straight line, up and down, zigzag, round and round...
In Social Studies, we will discuss and observe community traditions and family celebrations.
Reminders from Your Teacher
There are multiple volunteer opportunities coming up in the next few months. If you are interested, please go ahead and complete the volunteer background check on the CISD website. You will not be able to attend activities if you have not done so!
