CAFETERIA
We'd love to have you help out during lunch
As the weather starts to change, some of our students would rather stay inside. In order to accommodate students who want to stay inside and others that would like to go outside, we will need to have three adults present for safety. Please consider helping out.
Thank you so much to those who have been able to volunteer and help out in the lunchroom. It is such a blessing to have dedicated family members who are willing to help out!
A Note from the Cafeteria
Lunch orders for 2/12-2/16 are below. Please complete your order before the noon deadline, Monday 2/5.
On the Friday of Spirit Week we will be offering an order out pizza day. Please indicate how many slices you would like to purchase. Students will also be able to get milk and fruit/veg with their pizza, bring their own lunch, or order what is available through the lunch program that day. If you order pizza, please send your payment to the school office by 2/12 marked with your child's name, grade, and the number of slices desired. Use the Lunch order link below.
LOOKING FORWARD TO 24-25
We are having a great Catholic Schools Week, and it’s not over yet!
It’s been so wonderful to see all of our students and the Special People they have brought to lunch this week! Check out our Catholic Schools Week Facebook album for photos. We also celebrated Mass as a school and each grade brought up something representative of their class to place on the altar. Check out our Facebook page for some amazing pictures of how we celebrated being a Catholic School.
Remember to attend 9 am Mass this Sunday IN UNIFORM OR SPIRIT WEAR, and if you have RSVP’ed, the HSA Catholic Schools Week Family Breakfast immediately after. Our SMS Spirit Week with themed dress days will be held the week before February Break.
Our Open House was a great success!
We had approximately 20 new families tour the school last Sunday and enjoy a tour courtesy of current school families. Our students did a great job showcasing our school and making connections with the new families. Thanks you to all who helped out that day! Enrollment is now open to the public, so please still be sure to share social media posts about our school, talk to others, leave a positive review on Google or Niche, or simply post your photos from school events with the hashtag #SMStheplacetobee. All of these things help the public know how much we love our school and what an amazing place it is. Help us spread the word, and help SMS continue to thrive!
Remember to Re-Enroll for Next Year
Re-enrollment has ended, if you have not yet re-enrolled your students you will be receiving an email from Rebecca Kisailus to please do so as soon as possible . Also, if you chose the pay through FACTS option for your re-enrollment fee, that charge will be applied to your account next week and you should receive an email notification from FACTS when it is applied. Thank you!
Altar server training
For those who were not able to attend the training this past summer, a session has been scheduled for Saturday, February 17th from 10:00 am until noon. Boys and girls in grade 4 and above who have received their First Communion are eligible to be trained as an altar server. The training will be conducted by our adult server coordinator, Mr. Dick Marchessault. It will take place in the church. Contact Donna Allan at liturgy@stmaryswormville.org if your child would like to attend.
Water Bottle Reminder
We have been noticing a huge uptick in water bottles spilling recently. This is occurring in the hallways, classrooms, and the lunchroom. Tile floors gets VERY slippery when wet, and Chromebooks, books, and classwork get ruined. Please remember that water bottles should be able to be closed so that there is no leakage. Also, please do not send in GIANT metal water bottles. They are too large to keep on a desk and are continually falling on the floors. Water bottles should be for hydration and can easily be refilled. Sadly, they are becoming more of a distraction than a health benefit at this time. Thanks for ensuring that your child is bringing an appropriate water bottle for the school day.
Come cheer on our SMS “Bees” and enjoy some great youth Basketball!
