Mammograms
Mammograms are x-ray pictures of breasts to find cancer in women's breasts. Ways to prevent cancer are not to use tobacco, to eat a healthy diet, and to maintain a healthy weight and to exercise regularly. People should only get mammograms if they feel a lump in their breasts.
Pap Smears
pap smears are a medical test to see if there are any problems with a girls cervix. pap smears should be tested every 3 years and is only for women. pap smears are used to test for HPV and cervical cancer. HPV can be prevented by getting a vaccine for it, and cervical cancer can be prevented by avoiding HPV.
Testicular Exams
Testicular exams are used to test for testicular cancer witch is the most common cancer in men ages 15 to 35. Testicular exams are only for men and can be self examined. Testicular exams should be taken once a year. There is no way to prevent testicular cancer.
Prostate Exam
A prostate exam tests for prostate cancer. Prostate exams are for men starting around age 40. There is no way to prevent prostate cancer.
