Student use of the library

Before school (7:45-8:10)

· Students must have a Rogers ID with Morning Library Pass Sticker. Sign up in library for MLP sticker.

· Students must have a purpose for being in the library (ie homework, reading, printing).

During class

· Students must have their agenda with time recorded.

· Each student must have a purpose.


· Students must have a Rogers ID with Library Lunch Pass sticker and a purpose to enter. Sign up in library for LLP sticker for your ID

After school (3:20-4:00)

· Students must have a Rogers ID.

· Students must have a purpose for being in the library (ie homework, reading, printing).

Teaching books.net - Author program. K-12 book resources

Teen Health and Wellness (Rosenthal)- Developed with a team of experienced health and wellness writers, educators, librarians, and expert reviewers, it contains critical information for research and reports.

World book web an accurate, authoritative, up to date online encyclopedia.

Borrowing Priveledges

· Students may check out up to three books at a time

· Students may check out books for two weeks .

· Students may renew books as needed.

· Current month editions of Periodicals are available for checkout,

· See the librarians about getting free copies of previous issues.

· Students may use destiny online or ask librarians for assistance to place books on hold.

· NOOKS & MP3 AudioBook Check Out
Students in good standing (no fines, no losses, or extreme overdues) will be able to check out NOOKS and MP3 Players!

Library Mission Statement

The mission of the Will Rogers

Library is to create a student-centered library media center that supports the school’s curriculum, prepares students for life-long learning, informed decision-making, a love of reading, and to be effective users of information technologies.

Overdue, Lost and Damaged Books

  • 5 cents a day per overdue book
  • maximum $1.00 fine per book
  • students are responsible for payment of lost or damaged books and equipment.

Printing in the library

If you are printing an assignment the first 2 pages are free - beyond that:

  • Black/white copies 10 cents per page
  • Color copies 50 cents per page
