About the Title

Common Sense was a pamphlet authored by Thomas Paine in 1775-76. It was written to inspire American colonists to declare independence from British Rule at the beginning of The Revolution. This weekly, modern, online relative of that pamphlet documents the news, events, updates, and celebrations of the TJ Revolution - the educational sensation sweeping through northwest Dallas.

Executive Director's Message

As the second round of STAAR testing wraps up in our Feeder Pattern, I want to take a moment to say "Thank You" to the teachers, leaders, and professional support staff who have made learning happen for our students during the first 30 weeks of this school year. Our students are becoming more prepared for college and the workforce every day because of their interactions with you.

While there is still much work to be done, it's worth taking a moment to reflect on how far we've come. Highlighted below are some of the numerous accomplishments our feeder pattern and its schools have celebrated so far this year. Our students are are excelling academically, cultivating their talents, and leading the district in many areas. Moreover, our feeder pattern boasts one of the highest concentrations of distinguished-eligible teachersin Dallas ISD, with more to be nominated next year - indicative of the caliber of instruction provided by our teachers throughout the feeder.

It's a great time to be a student, teacher, parent, or community member in the TJ Feeder - Dallas ISD's premier feeder pattern! Thank you again for choosing to support our schools, students, and community and I look forward to finishing this year stronger than ever and continuing to celebrate the growth and positive direction of the TJ Feeder Pattern and Dallas ISD!
