Welcome Back!

We had a great first week back! The students and staff were excited to be back in the building to start the 2021-2022 school year!

Thank you for your patience at dismissal. It will begin to move faster this week. Please remember these instructions for dismissal:

Dismissal Procedures

*Enter the school parking lot going Southbound on Oak Grove Rd.

*Make two lanes of traffic entering the pick-up line

*Please have your orange card hanging on your rearview mirror.

*Students will walk down the center lane to enter the vehicles.

*Remove your orange card once your child(ren) has gotten in the car.

*For the safety of students, parents, and staff, there is no walk-up option.

Students will enter the building during arrival by themselves. They did a great job on Friday! We have adults in the hallway to help students get to his/her classroom. Pre-K and Kinder will always be dropped off at the gym!

Principal's Post

Hello, Brock Tigers,

I am so glad that you are here at Brock this year. For all the new Brock Tigers, I would like to give you a BIG welcome to the Brock Family.

I have been at Brock since we opened our doors in 2008. It has been an honor to serve the families in our Brock neighborhood. This is my 25th year in education and my 14th year as a school administrator. Each year, I have been delighted to work alongside families to help their child reach his/her full potential.

Shane and I have raised our children in the BISD school system. Brant is now a Freshman at Texas State University and Haley is in her first year teaching Pre-K in Aledo ISD. We are sports fanatics. We enjoy watching athletes of all ages play!

My goal is to build positive relationships with all students and parents. I look forward to a fantastic school year!

It's a Great day to be a Brock Tiger!

Hello, Brock Tiger Family!

My name is Jennifer Kirkpatrick and I am the new counselor. I have been waiting all summer to meet my new students and their families! The day is finally HERE!

A little bit about me: I’m beginning my 32nd year in education and my 20th year as a school counselor. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Habilitation of the Deaf from Texas Christian University and a Masters degree in education with an emphasis in school counseling from TCU. GO, FROGS!

I am happy to call Burleson my home. Education runs in our family as my husband, Coby, is the Chief of Schools for BISD. Our son, Callaway, and his wife, Natalie, are both teachers/coaches at Centennial High School and our daughter, Kadyn, graduated from Tarleton State University and is now starting nursing school. We have two amazing granddaughters, Claire, who is six years old and Charlotte, who is just two months old. Our family enjoys attending sporting events, playing board games, eating out and watching movies.
