All members received beautiful Blue Jay blue blessed rosaries this week at our monthly meeting. We prayed a decade of the rosary with our new rosaries for our deceased loved ones and deceased members of St. Pius X. We talked about how Mary is our Mother and loves to help us in our prayers.

Dear Blue Jay Families,

Advent is near and it is a season of giving. Giving to the needy helps fulfill the Corporal Works of Mercy. The Student Council is sponsoring a tennis shoe drive for the Mother Teresa Shelter. If you would like to help the needy during this Advent Season you can purchase a pair of shoes and drop them off at the school. These shoes can be purchased at Walmart, Target or any store. If you decide to donate please have the shoes at school no later than December 13. Student Council will be delivering them to the shelter.

PRINCIPAL'S CORNER😍

Blue Jay Parents,

I have the privilege of visiting classrooms this week and doing fall observations. I always leave our classrooms with a smile and feeling like we are the most fortunate school. We have such talented teachers and smart students! Our students are in such good hands. During observations week, I wish I was a student again. I could give our teachers the world! They do so much for our kids each day. Please take a moment to think about how you can show some love to our teachers this holiday season. We have several ways for you to give back to the teachers that work so hard every day to love and educate our students. We have set up the Winter Fund you can contribute to, you will also have the opportunity to sign up to cover a class so our teachers can have a half day to go Christmas shopping (be looking for that info soon), and we will also have the penguin patch that we need help with covering next week. If you are able to give time, talent, or treasure we would appreciate it very much. Let's show our teachers we love them!

We are in the season of Advent and our students had opportunity to attend a presentation given by Father Paul today. Father Paul talked about what Advent really means. Is amazing to hear what our students already knew about Advent and it was so wonderful to see all the things that Father shared with them today. There is always so much more to learn. If you are looking for something to help deepen your preparation of the coming of Christ, I recommend the Hallow App. They are offering 3 months free for Advent right now. We are looking forward to the upcoming weeks ahead. Let us prepare for the coming of Christ and enjoy the blessings that God has given us right here at St. Pius X.

St. Pius X Catholic School Winter Fund 2022
