Dear St. Bede School Families,

Congratulations to all our 8th-grade students on the completion of their St. Bede School careers. Whether you have been at our school for a short or long time, I hope that our faculty and staff at St. Bede have taught you well and provided you with the skills necessary to become safe, responsible, respectful, and faith-filled young ladies and gentlemen. You have risen to the occasion during two and a half challenging school years and not only accomplished this task but have done so with remarkable success and style. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and now you can sit back and enjoy the rewards. You have made us all proud! While you move on from St. Bede School, remember all you have learned and accomplished next year in high school. Remember that the doors here at St. Bede School are always open to you. We wish you well!

Report cards and i-Ready results were sent home with students today, Friday, June 3rd. Please let the school office know if you did not receive this information.

Starting next week, the St. Bede School Office will be open Tuesday through Thursday, from 9:00 am through 2:00 pm for the remainder of June and throughout July. If you need to reach anyone from the school and no one is available, please leave a voicemail or send an email as we will be checking them regularly. The St. Bede School Offices will reopen Monday through Friday, August 1st.

We did have had a teacher resign. We say goodbye to a person who has come to love our students and school: Nicole Cooper. She has truly made a difference in the lives of those students she has taught. On behalf of St. Bede School, I want to thank Nicole for her service to our school's students, parents, and staff. We wish her well in her future endeavors! We are looking for a replacement. If you know someone that would be a good fit, please encourage them to apply!

A special shout out to Clean Cut Tree Service for donating the mulch for St. Bede School and Our Lady of the Lakes Parish! Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

At this time, it does not appear that we have enough students in the area to offer St. Bede School Bus transportation to and from the Antioch area. If this changes, we will look to provide transportation via the Parish Van or other alternatives. Stay tuned for details.

We have come to the end of another school year, and I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to everyone for their belief in and support of St. Bede School. Thank you for making Catholic education a priority in your child's life. We are grateful to you for entrusting us with the tremendous responsibility of educating your child. We are truly blessed as a school to have such wonderful and caring students, parents, and staff. Thank you for this wonderful experience and allowing us to be part of your child's life!

With the school year coming to an end, may our Lord bless all of you, watch over you and protect you from harm wherever you go and whatever you do! I hope you and your family have an enjoyable and relaxing summer.

See you in August!

Golf Outing Updates

Our Golf Outing Registration is live! Forms were sent home with students, and this year, we are taking registrations and payments to play and/or attend the auction and dinner online. You can also make donations to the event on the website if you'd like to contribute, but can't attend. Please go to https://st-bede-school-golf-outing.perfectgolfevent.com/ for information on the event and to register. Please contact Karrie Frum at k.frum@yahoo.com or 847-445-7526 for any questions about the golf outing.

If you have items to donate to the raffle or auction or are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Miranda Ripley at mirandamL@yahoo.com / 847-204-6646.

The Golf Outing Committee needs your help! We are looking for assistance contacting local businesses to request donations for the raffle and auction both through the end of this school year (counts toward 2021-22 volunteer hours) or during the early part of the summer (counts toward 2022-23 volunteer hours). Hours for this school year are already posted in Sign-up and hours for next year will be put up soon https://signup.com/go/LXEHTry Please contact Miranda for any questions or information or if you are interested in joining the committee.

We will be needing lots of volunteers for the day of the event - August 27. Volunteer hours will count toward the 2022-23 school year and it's an easy way to get some hours early (no Virtus training required). The volunteer roles will be posted in Sign-up soon to help the planning committee get our volunteers early as well as have a zoom call in the summer to go over roles at the event.

Remember to get your Box Tops for Education in!

Remember to get your Box Tops in! We have raised $222.10 so far in the digital box tops app. Our goal is to raise $600.00 for the year for the school! We are doing a school-wide competition for Box Tops. If we can raise $600.00 as a school before the end of the school year, the PA will supply pizza for all of the students as a reward for meeting our goal! You can still turn in cut-out box tops, or scan them into the app. You need to download the “Box Tops for Education” App onto your phone to use the app. The app is free. Shop as you normally would, then use the app to scan your store receipt within 14 days of purchase. The app will identify the Box Tops products on your receipt and automatically credit your school’s earnings. The app is very user-friendly. See the attached flyer for more detail on using and downloading the app!
